WHAT IS SUNGJA-DO? Sungja-Do is the Korean translation of "Way of the Savior (Jesus)." With Sungja-Do we win all conflicts on the street or in school or at work, whether they be physical or mental. Through training, we learn to control our minds and body, so that we do not act wildly or irrationally. WHAT SUNGJA-DO IS NOT! Sungja-Do is not Jeet Kune Do (JKD)! Over the last 40+ years that, George I. Petrotta, has studied the arts, he has formulated a system that uses the most effective techniques and concepts of all the arts he has studied and forges them into one art. The outcome of this combination is a system of street self-defense that is easy to learn and most importantly, easy to use by all. Sungja-Do is a combination of martial arts that have been studied by George I. Petrotta, 8th Degree, Founder of Sungja-Do and a Christian outlook on how to live for Jesus.

STONE’S OLYMPIC STYLE TAEKWONDO
BuSabomNim English Stone has two students keeping the road to competition hot! DJ Mock and younger brother Isaac; the “Ice Man” have been to three Amateur Athletic Union Tournaments and one Black Belts for Christ tournament this summer. Both of the Mock Brothers have done exceedingly well says their instructor English Stone. My private students and I get together at different times to train and work toward fine tuning fighting tactics for competition. At the present English has four students now in training for the Karate for Christ World Championship Tournament in Pigeon Forge, TN. My students have always done very well at Pigeon Forge and I am looking forward to the competition this year! I get a lot of satisfaction in seeing my students perform with so much confidence and spirit. The average number of competitors at the Karate for Christ Tournament in Pigeon Forge averages well over four hundred. These competitors go into the ring with serious desires to win! My students have the drive that is necessary to train to win, so I am confident they will be do extremely well once again. The students' parents are very supportive and are willing to go the extra mile to insure these guys get the training they desire. They are all just super to know and to work with!

ISA newest Black Belt from Stones Olympic style TKD Mr. Terail Clones, 14 Years old
ISA TKD Instructor Dr. Steve Mathews from Lenoir, NC competed at the North Carolina State Taekwondo Games this past Saturday, June 21, 2008. Dr. Mathews came home with the Gold Medal in Poomse competition beating the former 4-time state champion.
