ISA TECHNIQUES THESE TECHNIQUES WORK! BUT ONLY IF THEY ARE
PRACTICED REVERENTLY.
APPLY ONLY ENOUGH PAIN TO MAKE THE TECHNIQUE WORK. DO NOT APPLY AN OVERKILL ATTITUDE. EACH PARTNER SHOULD WATCH OUT FOR EACH OTHER. WHEN YOU FEEL THE SLIGHTEST TWINGE OF PAIN, SIGNAL BY SLAPPING WITH YOUR FREE HAND OR IF BOTH HANDS ARE TIED UP THEN SIGNAL WITH YOUR FOOT. DO NOT RELY ON THE SOUND COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT TRY TO BE MACHO AND NOT SIGNAL THE PAIN. YOUR PARTNER WILL ADD MORE FORCE OR A SHARPER TWIST TO CAUSE PAIN AND IT MAY RESULT IN A BROKEN OR DISLOCATED JOINT. ALL OF THESE TECHNIQUES ARE PRACTICED FROM EVERY CONCEIVABLE POSITION.
START WITH A ONE-HAND GRAB AND GO FROM THERE. **MAKE SURE YOU MESS WITH THE OPPONENT'S COMPUTER FIRST** ALL OF THESE TECHNIQUES MAY END UP IN A CONTROLLED CHOKE WITH EITHER ARMS OR LEGS AROUND THE OPPONENT'S THROAT OR A DISTINCTIVE CONTROL OF AN EXTREMITY! TECHNIQUES # 1 through # 10, START WITH A LEFT HAND GRAB OF THE LEFT
WRIST. 1. Using your right hand--grip his hand with a 'horseshoe grip"--keep his hand in contact with your left wrist--raise to a centering position--slide left hand down to just above his elbow (in the process of sliding, break his thumb)--execute a 180 degree pivot on left foot while right foot travels clockwise 180 degrees while pulling your right hand to your right hip--press down with your left hand on his arm and pull up on his hand, creating an arm-bar--at same time twist his hand in two directions: a) Palm toward his forearm and
b) Pinkie toward floor--execute left
knife hand strike to point just below earlobe on jawbone. 2. As in # 1 technique, once in centering position--grab his wrist with
your left hand--keep his pinkie in the up-most position--maintain his wrist
in a stable and immovable position--make a pinch point with your right
pinkie and your left index finger--rotate his hand in two directions
simultaneously--a) pinkie toward his forearm and b) palm toward the
ceiling--push his hand toward his chest as this will create more pain as
the elbow bends--apply enough pressure to drop him to his knees--kick his
chest and takedown into a control hold with his wrist in joint lock
position--follow up with strikes if needed. 3. Right hand grips offending hand--right thumb presses into the back
of the hand, midway between knuckles and wrist--fingers wrap knife-edge of
offending hand, pull off, breaking grip and left hand joins right hand,
thumb crossing thumb on back of his hand--rotate his arm in a clockwise
motion while stepping back with your right foot--his arm being rotated as
such should point his palm toward ceiling--keep his arm straight, with no
bend at elbow--push with your thumbs and bend his wrist so that palm goes
toward his forearm--apply pain through pressure--release pain and front
kick to face--apply pain again. Partner should slap each time pain is
felt. 4. Simultaneously--reverse the grip so that you grab his arm (wrist)
and apply a major outer leg reap with the right leg, striking as low on
his leg (by the ankle or heel) to sweep him off his feet--strike his chest
(throat) with right hand (palm; fingers). (4a) Maintain a grip on his arm--drop right knee onto his ribs or chest
and punch to his forehead with a right fist. (4b) As you pull hard on his
arm in a jerking motion, strike his armpit with your right bottom heel in
a stomping motion. IN # 4, YOU MAY USE ANY PART OF YOUR RIGHT HAND OR ARM TO STRIKE HIM
WITH. AFTER THE STRIKE, YOU MAY WANT TO GRAB HIM WITH YOUR RIGHT HAND OR
WRAP YOUR ARM AROUND HIM TO COMPLETE THE TAKEDOWN IN A SAFE MANNER WITH
YOUR PARTNER. 5. CIRCULAR WRIST LOCK TAKEDOWN-----After messing up the computer,
reach over with right hand and grab his wrist. Take one long step forward
with right foot, past his right side, stepping under his right arm--pull your left hand
free and grab his right hand with your
left--grip his knife-edge with your
four fingers while pressing your thumb into his thumb-knuckle or the
hollow created by his thumb and index finger. After initial long step
execute a body change to left and pull his forearm into your chest
tightly. Apply torque to his right wrist in a counter-clockwise direction
which should cause enough pain to start him moving in a counter-clockwise
direction while you move in the same direction (you will be walking
forward and he will walk backward). AT THIS POINT YOU SHOULD BOTH BE
FACING THE SAME DIRECTION. Stop walking and bring his right hand up going
past the right side of his head--keep joint lock on his wrist and execute
a body change to left and take a long step forward with your right foot,
which should unbalance him as you pull his right hand toward floor.
Complete takedown with a strike to his upper body or
head. 6. Move right foot one short step forward then move left foot one long
step toward attackers left side--while stepping with left, keeping
your body as close to his as is possible, extend your
grabbed hand as far past the attacker as possible to pull him off
balance--reach with your right hand to cover his right hand and do a body
change to right side as you control attacker's right arm by the wrist
joint--walk forward with your left foot and force attacker to
ground--apply controlling hold on ground and strike to attacker's upper
body or head. 7. Move left foot a short step forward, then pivot 180 degrees
clockwise (backwards), extending your left hand as far as possible, then
do a body change to right and complete as in technique # 6. 8. Raise left hand, which in turn will raise attacker's right hand and
arm---slide left foot forward about a half a step---bring your right arm
under attacker's left upper arm, bend attacker's elbow and wrap your right
hand around attacker's right wrist. Apply leverage and step back with left
foot, twisting your hips and upper body counter-clockwise for
takedown. 9. Reverse grip on attacker with left hand---slide left foot forward
and then slide right foot forward and then step with left foot until you
are completely behind attacker---while you are doing these steps, slide
your right arm in between attacker's arm and body---slide right hand up as
far as possible on attacker's back and try to grab pressure point located
on trapezes muscle---lever attacker's arm up with your right arm. You may
also grab his hair with left hand and pull attacker backward off-balancing
him and throw him to ground. Counter attack with your knees or
feet. 10. Left hand raises slightly while right hand traps attacker's hand on
your wrist---turn your left clockwise to effect a binding action similar
to Technique # 2. Use right hand to grab his right hand in horseshoe grip and effect a
pushing motion with your left hand on his triceps muscle (back of upper
arm)., rolling it from bottom to top, pushing down on triceps toward floor
as in Technique # 1's armbar--as he bends over, use left leg to swing over
attacker's arm and hit the back of his head with an outside axe kick. Set
left foot on floor and using both of your hands, lever his arm so that the
back of his elbow rests against the hollow of your left knee--creating a
binding action on the attacker's elbow or breaking it. TECHNIQUES # 11 THRU # 13 ARE RELEASES FROM A FRONTAL CHOKE WITH BOTH HANDS. 11. Use your left hand to trap attacker's left hand against your body
to prevent him from moving it--Strike downward with your right knifehand
to the forearm pressure point on his left arm---Grab his left hand with
your left hand in a horseshoe grip and perform # 1 technique as you step
toward his right side with your right foot. 12. Use a kick to distract, as both hands will work together---Your
left hand traps attacker's right hand, to keep it from moving, as your
right hand snakes over his left forearm and under his right
forearm---Slide your right hand to his right wrist and step toward his
left side with your left foot into # 1 technique. 13. Left hand traps attacker's Left hand from underneath, execute a
right-cross to the temple. (If attacker's arms are straight, then use
right hammerfist to the forearm muscle near left elbow to bend his left
arm). Your left hand still maintains the trap on his right hand, turn
sharply to your left to execute a wrist break. Right hand now joins left
to grip and step clockwise under offender's arm for an all-direction throw
and follow up with a control hold. TECHNIQUES 14A AND 14B ARE FROM A REAR GRAB OF YOUR ARM JUST ABOVE THE ELBOW. 14A. Attacker's left hand grips your right arm. Turn slightly to the
right to face attacker, quickly your right arm circles over offender's
arm, hand grips just in front of the elbow (palm-up for leverage), your
left hand simultaneously peels off the offender's fingers, forcing them
back into a finger-lock. 14B. Employ the same technique for the finger-lock in 14A. Change begins when you peel back the offender's fingers. Very quickly step back to attacker, forcing offending arm over your right shoulder for arm/elbow break. TWO-HAND CHOKE FROM BEHIND 15. Stomp attacker's left foot with your right heel, then execute a right hammer fist to his groin, followed by a right back fist to his face; your right hand grips the meaty portion of his right thumb, turning his hand palm-up. Step backwards with your right foot and pull his hand down toward floor for wrist throw or go into a controlling lock and use your feet in a kicking motion to cause damage. |
