| 1. Qualified Us For AN ETERNAL INHERITANCE "giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light". (Colossians 1:12) "in whom [Christ] we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins". (Colossians 1:14) "Redemption" literally means TO BUY BACK.. "Forgiveness" does not mean that GOD IGNORES OUR SIN.. Forgiveness must be predicated upon REDEMPTION. Without REDEMPTION, there can be no forgiveness. THE KEY TRUTH: We have been delivered from the penalty of sin. |
| 2. CHRIST Delivered Us From THE POWER OF EVIL "For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness..." (Colossians 1:13a) The Bible teaches us that we come into this world with AN ALLEGIANCE TO SATAN... EVIL IS REAL.. SATAN IS REAL. THE KEY TRUTH: We are being delivered from the presence of sin. "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it". (1Corinthian 10:13) |
| 3. Transferred Us OUT in order to bring Us IN. "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life O live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me". (Galatians 2:20) THE KEY TRUTH: We are being delivered from the presence of sin. "Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory" (Ephesians 1:13b-14) |
